Recommendations:

Environment Artist on PAIN™

“I supervised Dan on the PS3 title PAIN. Dan had become a valuable member of the Environment Team and does well with any task that is thrown his direction. He is extremely adaptable and can dive in and perform ably in every capacity within the department. Dan never shies away from any task that he is given and always asks if he can pitch in when he has completed his tasks. Dan has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to the software and has been instrumental in progressing what we can do with our technology. Dan goes beyond what is required of him and produces high quality work and I’m extremely impressed with the little extra things that he contributes to the team. Dan had become extremely valuable to me and the art team and it is a tough loss for our company to have to let him go. I would highly recommend him for an art position in any company.” October 22, 2009 Chris Brown, Enviroment Team Lead, Idol Minds

“Dan has shown himself to be a dedicated and skilled artist since we hired him nearly two years ago. He was brought on as an entry level environment artist on Pain (PS3) and picked up our tools and processes quickly.

In his role as an environment artist, Dan showed that he could take on the larger and more challenging art tasks and completed them with success. In addition to being a quick learner, Dan has the ability to work well under minimal supervision.

His passion for the game industry and 3D art creation were clearly evident throughout his tenure at Idol Minds. His finger was always on the pulse of the industry and any advances in new technologies.

Overall, Dan is a passionate and talented employee who has the drive to succeed in the game industry. He a team player and will be an asset to any company that chooses to hire him. It is very difficult to see Dan go, but unfortunately, recent circumstances have forced us to release valuable employees like him. I strongly recommend Dan to any company who is looking for a quality environment artist.” October 22, 2009 Andy Meier, Art Director, Idol Minds, LLC

“I worked with Dan and found him to be one of the most articulate, thorough, and creative people I’ve ever worked with. Not only does Dan possess strong artistic vision and skill, but he was always among the first to pick up new tools, and processes. One of Dan’s greatest assets is his ability to fit into any team environment quickly and easily. That said, you can also give him a task to do alone and expect without hesitation that it will be done with utmost precision, artistic impression, and within time budget.

It is of no fault of Dan that he is seeking employment at this time, and I am truly sad that a talent like him has to leave our group. I give Dan my complete recommendation and you will be glad to have him on your team. If we don’t get him back first. October 22, 2009 Eric Bohn, Senior Environment Artist, Idolminds

“Daniel has strong artistic skill and is always looking to create aesthetically pleasing content. He constantly strove to improve, both himself and the content on which he was assigned. He was an encouragement to continually look for new and better ways to improve the graphics display.” October 22, 2009 Carl Bartlett, Lead Programmer, Idol Minds
